Job Description:/h3:
Tier 1 automotive supplier in the Greater Detroit market is seeking a Sales Engineer/Account Manager. Successful individual must have current sales experience calling on OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts.
Bachelors degree REQUIRED, Engineering related discipline highly preferred.
Electrical/Electronics product line highly preferred.
Account Manager/Sales Engineer:
:Collaborate with customers on initial design, revision and development of Automotive OEM products
:Use consultative sales skills to provide value to customers and prospects
:Conduct sales activities to generate new revenue including; securing appointments with decision makers, conducting thorough qualifying conversations, and closing new business
:Search and find new opportunities with current customers while uncovering new opportunities with potential clients for new business development
:Provide timely and accurate quotes to manage the pipeline of opportunities appropriately
:Advise management of sales trends in the assigned regions based on discovery from field research
:Monitor competitive activity and trends within territory
:Represent the company at trade shows and association meetings to sell and promote products
:Direct successful launch activities for assigned customers and programs following company APQP process.
:Bachelors Degree in Engineering related field REQUIRED (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering highly preferred)
:Experience selling to Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers
:Analytical, mathematical and other quantitative skills
:Effective communication skills : verbal and written
:Ability to ask for the business and close sales
:Service oriented approach to problem solving
:Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
:Contact management software experience
:Able to fly and drive, long and short distances
