What You'll Do/Need This position is responsible for the day-to-day accrual-based accounting for all assigned commercial and residential properties and related entities. This position is required to interact daily with the CFO, Controller, Accounting Manager, the Accounting team, members of Property Management and other Bedrock team members. Responsibilities Complete monthly financial reporting packages Prepare and analyze balance sheets and income statements with budget variance narratives Ensure accuracy of the General Ledger and entity records Manage all journal entries in compliance with GAAP Prepare and update fixed asset amortization and depreciation schedules Prepare schedules as necessary for cash flow projections and financial analyses Review and post tenant work orders and utility billings Verify and process monthly mortgage and interest payments to lenders Prepare bank and account reconciliations and monitor cash balances Prepare the annual budget and reforecasts for all portfolio-related entities Review lease documentation and ensure that all charges are billed according to the terms Calculate CAM estimates and complete the CAM Reconciliation process for properties Monitor and supervise third-party financial reports for parking garages Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting Two years of experience in real estate accounting Strong analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written correspondence What'll Make You Special Experience in commercial real estate accounting Experience with Yardi or other property management accounting software What You'll Get Excellent benefits package that includes a 401(k) match, medical/dental/vision, and much more Opportunities to participate in professional and personal development programs, including personal empowerment coaching, leadership training and ongoing personal growth training Other incentives, contests and rewards including trips, event tickets, cash prizes and more Why We're Different Meet the anti-corporate culture of Bedrock, where there's no daunting hierarchy, "boss" is a four-letter word, and if you work hard, you're the one who'll reap the rewards, both personally and professionally.
