GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general direction, performs clerical and administrative support duties for Vice President Professional Nursing Practice and other staff members. Handles a wide variety of complex and confidential situations and resolves conflicts involving the clerical and administrative functions of the office. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Prepares routine and advanced correspondence including letters, memoranda and reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions. 2. Coordinates activities relating to department communication by appropriately directing incoming calls, visitors and information. 3. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and maintaining equipment inventories. 4. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level. Places and expedites orders for supplies as needed. Verifies receipt of supplies. 5. Performs word processing and some excel spreadsheet functions which may include graphs and tables. Creates presentations, organizational charts and other documents as needed. 6. Manages System Vice President's calendar and independently schedules appointments based on availability. 7. Prepares and processes invoices and expense reports. 8. Processes miscellaneous tasks on an as needed basis. Education / Training: Associate's Degree or may accept a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years directly related experience. B. Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years' administrative secretarial experience required. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. C. Other Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).SDL2017
