Job Title: Floral Designer Department: Floral
FLSA Status: Non:Exempt Job Status: Full Time
Reports To: Floral Manager, Directors, Owners

Job Summary:
In this position you will be responsible for creating and executing unique designs, as well as those requested by clients. Must be able to design and create independently, and efficiently.
Job Functions:
Advanced understanding of flower types, design, and current trends.
Clear understanding of products offered by Westborn Market.
Develop original designs, as well as executing client requests.
Maintain all retail floral standards regarding quality, presentation, sanitation, customer service, and communication.
Participate in demonstrations and store events as needed.
Must have a high level of organization to keep up with multiple orders.
Must be able to establish and work within a set timeline in order to fulfill orders as stated.
Ability to consult with clients and work with a range of budgets, styles, and timelines.
Ability to design and execute a range of products including, but not limited to bouquets, corsages, wedding arrangements, and other special occasion requests.
Must be able to lift minimum 25 pounds.
Ability to bend, lift and reach in all directions repeatedly.
Will be required to walk/stand for the duration of shift, except during break/meal periods.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
Solid sense of current floral trends with the ability to translate into a retail floral environment.
Demonstrate advanced attention to detail with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
High School Diploma or GED required. Floral design certificate or trade school preferred.
