Job DescriptionFPGA Software Engineer Farmington, MISummary of the FPGA Software Engineer:Our client, a well-established TIER ONE automotive supplier, has established a new group to work on cutting edge automated driver technology and is looking for a FPGA Software Engineer (FPGA) to join them. In this position, you will be responsible for developing the the FPGA hardware for a new Lidar-based ADAS sensor system (Xilinx SoC) along with the development of FPGA/VHDL code for the data management and related controls. Responsibilities of the FPGA Software Engineer:Develop reliable FPGA software used in advanced sensing applicationsDevelopment of the FPGA hardware for a new Lidar-based ADAS sensor system (Xilinx SoC).Develop FPGA/VHDL code for the data management and related controls.Qualifications of the FPGA Software Engineer:Bachelors in Electrical Engineering6+ years of experience in developing signal processing code for FPGA (Xilinx or Altera preferred)Strong experience in working with hardware description languages or tools such as VHDL or Verilog.Strong knowledge of computer architecture, computer arithmetic and hardware & software interfacing to an FPGAPractical understanding of scripting languages along with some familiarity with C, C++, and Matlab.Experience in Design, Implementation, and Test of FPGA solutions for DSP systems for Radar or Vision applications using VHDL or Verilog will be preferredExperience in high performance signal processing architectures, SoC, or hardware acceleration will be preferredMulti-threaded, embedded Linux experience will be a plus Compensation of the FPGA Software Engineer:Salary: $85,000-110,000/year, depending on experienceType: DirectLocation: Detroit Area, MITravel: MinimalRelocation assistance: Subject to reviewVisa sponsorship: H1B transfers only.
