Location: Warren, MI Austin, TX About the Role: The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security Architect will be responsible to provide leadership and architectural guidance to the GMs Information Security and Risk Management team. This technical role will focus on driving technical IAM strategy, participate in technical portfolio planning, and work with other teams to design and deploy robust access control solutions to protect GMs critical assets including sensitive information and data.Responsibilities: The IAM Architect responsibilities include the following tasks:Drive the adoption of Authentication and Authorization reference architectures for existing, new and emerging IAM technologiesDrive the adoption of creative solutions to address complex, global IAM problems Participate in Identity and Access Management enterprise governance processes and drive IAM standards adoptionParticipate in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of enterprise Identity and Access technologiesDevelop effective architecture solutions that not only satisfy immediate project requirements but also deliver a coherent, reusable, reliable and phased architecture to help the business grow and change while aligning to strategic vision.Collaborate with other IT, business and technical architects and develop a consensus-based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and synchronized with GMs ever changing business needs.Work effectively and efficiently with other teams and assist in the resolution of architectural differences or conflicts across the various teams.Guide IAM designs to deliver high quality integration solutions that satisfy project and product requirements and meet GMs Authentication and Access needs for the enterprise. Evangelize and explain Authentication and Authorization, integration and other architecture principles, benefits and technical solutions to business and technical audiencesCommunicate IAM related information to the Enterprise Architecture team and other teams, including the product development and business teamsLead the project technical team to deliver IAM security solutions effectively 3-5 years of IAM experience in a large complex multi-vendor multi-team global environmentProven experience in designing technical enterprise identity and access management solutions for global enterprisesDemonstrable experience as a successful technical lead with the ability to guide a technical team effectivelyStrong experience with Directories, SSO, Federation, Delegated administration, API gateways, SOA servicesProven strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (eg, partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).Ability to document complex architectural concepts and solutions in both business and technical terms and be comfortable presenting to executive and senior managementComfortable working in a matrixed organizationExperienced in delivering IAM solutions with good non-functional attributes (high performance, low footprint, scalable, robust, secure, etc.)Proven track record of working in an agile methodology using some level of continuous integration.Experience in operationalizing IAM solutions for user and application accessExperience with Oracle Identity and Access Management technologiesExperience with Cloud Authentication servicesExperience with web and mobile technologiesKnowledge of enterprise reference architecture design conceptsExperience of integrating with on-site and 3rd party cloud applications Education/ Training Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Engineering Technology or equivalent experiencePreferred Certifications: CISSP, CSSLP, Open CA, CITA, EACOE Enterprise Architect, CEA Why General Motors?At GM, weve charged ourselves with one mission: to design, build and sell the worlds best vehicles.
