Job DescriptionAs part of the Global Engineering IT Services function, highly capable virtual calculation tools for global democratized users have increased in importance to improve Engineering efficiencies. This Senior Engineering role will provide middleware software code development, testing, execution, and maintenance, as well as working with global team members to support development of future tools projects.Preferred Candidate IdentifiedKey ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering requirements to create middleware software code that achieves the target outcome.Collaborate with application tool and product experts to apply improvements, changes, and solutions to web-based democratized user interfaces.Support future middleware software and base platform upgrades through creation, testing, and implementation of source code. Maintain and update middleware software version and revision control system with appropriate source code, web pages, and documentation.Conduct technical research to provide recommendations for improvements and solutions to problems encountered.Provide global support for technical discussions regarding virtual tools, as well as troubleshooting, and solution implementation.Liason with key base software vendors to appropriately integrate functional business goals with supporting base software.Develop technical documentation for product development projects and solutions.Qualifications / Experience / SkillsBSCS or related Technical degree, with 10+ years of Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills described below.Working knowledge of the operating systems: LINUX, UNIX, and Windows. Highly proficient with Programming and web technologies languages, specifically HTML 5, C++, JSP, JAVA, ANT, AJAX, XML, Perl, Phython, VBA, Powershell, Fortran, and LaTeX. Proficienct in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of translating engineering requirements into appropriate software code.
