Job Information
Summit Business Technologies is seeking experienced, intelligent, articulate Windows Systems Engineers ready to work in a team:oriented support environment where excellent customer relations skills are as important as technical skills.
This position is a remote/work:from:home support engineering position with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
The successful candidate in this position will resolve IT issues of varying technical difficulty and will provide consultative advice to customers.
The engineer will provide remote support for the IT operations of our customers Daily activities include servicing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support requests for topics including:
:Windows 10, 8, 7 Desktops and laptops
:A wide range of desktop applications including MS Office
:Mail systems and clients: Outlook, Office 365, Gmail, MS Exchange
:Remote access and VPN solutions
:Active Directory
:Installation and configuration of applications for a network environment.
:Backup systems including: StorageCraft, Datto, eFolder, Backup Systems
:Managed Anti:virus Products
:Internet DNS/E:mail/Communication issues
Problem solving skills are essential. Engineers will be presented technical problems and challenges theyve never seen before and will be expected to find a way to resolve the issues using experience, training, deductive reasoning skills, resources on the web, and the Summit technical support team.
Excellent analytic skills, good communications skills, reliability, customer service skills, and ability to follow:through are key characteristics for which we are looking..
Experience Requirements:
:six+ years of hands:on experience
:Bachelor of Science Degree
:with four plus years of experience
Microsoft Certification is a big plus.
