Job Description We are currently looking for Full and Part-time School Social Workers in the Metro Detroit area. School Social Workers provide assessments, treatment, and counseling services to children and adolescents in the school setting. Our School Social Workers enhance the school’s ability to meet its academic goals, especially where home, school and community collaboration is the key to achieving that mission. Required Skills: Must hold a Masters Degree and Certification through the Michigan Department of Education authorizing services as a School Social Worker. Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with professional and paraprofessional personnel in carrying out an effective instructional or remediation program for SSW student/consumers. Must possess knowledge of Michigan Operating Standards, Michigan Education Administrative Code, and Michigan Operating Standards serving student’s with Disabilities regarding programs and pupils. Knowledge of recent educational, remediation, and pediatric trends related to infant/toddler and early education programs for young child with SSW needs, emphasizing not only their physiological differences, but their psychosocial and cultural needs as well is highly favored. We are seeking those who are willing to work within a school based, and possibly clinic locations.
