Clinical Faculty College of Medicine Central Michigan University Twelve-month; Medical Faculty The Central Michigan University College of Medicine invites applications for an MD or DO faculty position(s). These opportunities allow physicians to have teaching, leadership and administrative roles in the College of Medicine as well practice in their specialty area at local clinical sites. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity by working to develop a culture of inclusion and mutual respect. Part time opportunities exist for interested applicants. Required Qualifications: MD or DO degree Certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association recognized clinical specialty. Preference is given to primary care specialties. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Michigan Minimum of five (5) years of consecutive post-residency training in a practice environment Established credentials and physician leadership experience in medical education Strong collaborative and communication skills Strong commitment to innovative approaches to education and clinical care Ability to function independently and adapt to a flexible, and sometimes extensive, travel schedule Preferred Qualifications: Advanced education related degrees and/or training (M.Ed, EdD, Ph.D.) Experience in the management of medical student clinical education program Knowledge and interest in distributed/rural health education models Knowledge and interest in the challenges of healthcare to underserved populations Applications must be submitted on-line at: Keyword College of Medicine.
