The FCA Quality Organization is currently seeking a Cert Line Supervisor to join our Quality Organization at FCAs Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an internal part of company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Cert Line Supervisor is responsible for managing UAW work teams in a fast paced high volume automotive manufacturing environment to execute standardization of manufacturing quality enablers. The selected candidate will supervise hourly quality inspectors and repair area personnel and hold responsibility for various business metrics of the department. Additionally, the ideal candidate possesses a broad knowledge of manufacturing and quality landscape, presents outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills and unquestionable integrity. The Supervisor will support the overall manufacturing goals for quality performance as well as monitor and improve the health of the production quality systems. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
:Responsible for supervising and developing the performance of the hourly Quality work team
:The continued improvement of company:wide quality performance
:Provide technical support between Engineering, Production and Product Design Departments, as needed
:Investigates quality concerns internally, at supplier and customer sites
:Initiates the corrective action team and is responsible for monitoring and implementing corrective and preventive actions
:Coordinate quality related activities to achieve business metrics of the department
:Establish and maintain the documentation of processes utilizing FCAs world class manufacturing tools
:Utilize problem solving tools in day:to:day operations
Basic Qualifications:
:Bachelors degree
:Supervisory experience
:Experience in using problem solving tools within a manufacturing environment
:Ability to work a split shift work pattern
:Demonstrated use of MS office products
Preferred Qualifications:
:One year manufacturing quality experience
:Experience in application of problem solving tools
:Basic knowledge of statistics.
