As a custom folder gluer operator you will be responsible for machine set:up and operation and product quality and delivery. There is a growing variety of folder gluer, content inserting, conveyor and production machines in use to serve the needs of customers. These machines produce various results by using them as they were designed but the more creative machine operator can use these machines to create custom tooling to build the custom identity packages our customers expect.
The job requires you to provide ideas to the design and sales team that prove your creative use of the machine. Helping solve design, manufacturing and cost constraints is part of your daily role. Thinking outside the box to yield automation speed and quality will come from your abilities to be creative with the various machines.
We can teach machine operation but we cant teach the creative use of the machine. This job posting is searching for that creative operator who loves machinery and can see all thats possible in production. If youre that person, Apply now. Plus, you will be using the normal cutting tools, gauges, and other equipment or aids used in manufacturing customer cartons, paperboard, folding, gluing and finishing processes.
Daily Activity:
Create unique tooling and combination of equipment for each job delivering quality, on:time delivery for each order.
Provide input on design related restrictions for machine capabilities while balancing out:of:the:box design solutions that make better customer product designs with lower costs because folder/gluer machine capabilities are optimized.
Daily production responsibilities for short and long run, pocket folders, envelopes, crash lock and side seam boxes, business card sleeves, plus unique custom designs.
Operate Bobst Domino 90 and 110; and Haskins HYPII : Paper folder II, Kluge folder gluer; Glue Machinery Systems GMS, Micro Glue 428 and operate other shop equipment as may be required.
Work with cutting tools, dies, or even whole machine tools used to manufacture, hold, or test products during their fabrication.
Quality is key in folding glueing production; constant attention to run and product quality is paramount.
As Operator you are responsible for the finished product including boxing and shipping following corporate procedures for the same. Create the product beauty every customer expects.
Production Continuous Improvement Input:
Continuously improve design and creative tooling options to increase efficiency and quality. Further, the finished product through boxing and shipping must be designed for efficient production and to create the product beauty every customer expects.
Train new operators.
Work with die:cut operators and plant production teams to diagnose design and production problems and discover design opportunities.
