Hardware Engineering Manager
Rochester Hills, MI
Summary of the Hardware Engineering Manager:
Hardware Engineering Manager needed to lead an 8 person NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPENT team comprised of EEs and MEs doing automotive hardware design for mechatronic devices (motors and sensors). This is a top tier Automotive Supplier with global reach that boasts low turnover rates. If you have strong team leading skills along with a solid hardware background, then this position may be great opportunity for you to transfer into a more senior level role or continue to develop your Management career.
Responsibilities of the Hardware Engineering Manager:
:Lead a multi:disciplined team for new product development.
:Evaluate staff versus capabilities to improve the overall team performance.
:Manage supplier relationships
:Improve development processes in accordance with other engineering.
:Take an active part in budget creation and optimize annual program costs.
:Manage development from Spec level to prototype, some sustaining work also.
Qualifications of the Hardware Engineering Manager:
:BSEE or equivalent MSEE preferred
:5+ years product development in high volume product industry (Automotive preferred)
:Minimum 2 years of management or 5 years Team Lead experience.
:Conversant with life cycle of development of hardware and electronic devices, e.g., ECUs, low:power motors.
:Background in EMC, ESD
:Expertise in circuit board and motor assembly process.
:Mechatronics Background is a big PLUS.
Compensation of the Hardware Engineering Manager:
Salary Range : 110,000 : 145,000 (Commensurate)
