Job Title: Programming Operations Manager

Employment Status: Full-Time

Job Summary: Under general direction, oversees the day-to-day operation of programs and services at the ACCESS Sterling Heights Center and works closely with various Directors and Managers who oversee departments, programs, services represented at campus to ensure all are operating in accordance with guidelines and expectations. Helps resolve staff challenges and ensures integration of programs, services, and employees at site. With guidance, seeks out opportunities to engage with members of the community and entities including faith-based and community based organizations who operate in the neighborhood and surrounding communities, and represents organization at meetings as needed and directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide lead and organize others with regards to maximizing ACCESS service delivery and community engagement.

* Communicates with leadership about opportunities and challenges with respective programs, services, and employees at campus.

* Supervise staff (plans, assigns, monitors and manages the work of others) and oversee daily office operations.

* Ensure smooth and efficient delivery and provision of service that meet the expectations and needs of customers, clients, and stakeholders.

* Contribute towards the achievement of organizations strategic and operational objectives.

* Monitor and make recommendations to help improve operation, processes, and best practices that result in improved operation of programs and services at campus.

* Motivate and support persons and groups within the community including publicity, outreach, public speaking, event planning, and the cultivation of various types of external support and collaboration.

* Organize outreach activities that promote ACCESS mission and services, including community presentations and engagement opportunities.

* Possess necessary knowledge of the diverse communities in the region and expand the diversity of the agencys audience. Conduct outreach to and building relationships with community organizations, including houses of worship, community centers, local (city and county officials and entities), schools and service organizations.

* Successfully reach out to community; recognize issues and find solutions; recruit, screen, train, place, supervise and recognize volunteers to fill the sites needs.

* Collaborate with organizations and groups with which ACCESS is partnering on various projects and community efforts.

* Collaborate effectively with all ACCESS program directors and supervisors and other center constituencies to plan, implement, and assess programs and efforts related to community engagement and programs and initiatives involving external support.

* Serve on various committees, task forces, and working groups in the community.

* Maintain current knowledge of trends in the field through self-directed professional reading, developing and maintaining key contacts.

* Engage and mobilize key stakeholders to support organizations goals, including community partners, policymakers, and community stakeholders.

* Maintains positive community and public relations image of the department and organization.

* Supports Director to identify, develop, cultivate and maintain relationships with funding sources, individual donors and community partners.

* Coach and mentor subordinates

* May assist with writing of grants including gathering data and researching information.

* Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.

* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

* Work processes and tools within own area.

* Methods used to evaluate and monitor appropriate staffing levels.

* Appropriate management techniques including hiring practices, managing and evaluating employee performance, developing work plans and addressing performance deficiencies.

* Quality assurance, customer service and employee performance metrics.

* Developing and maintaining operations within a defined budget.

* Administration and management skills.

Skill in:

* Operating standard office equipments and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office.

* Public Speaking

Ability to:

* Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.

* Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed.

* Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.

* Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from routine reports, customer and employee feedback.

* Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate.

* Work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

* Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

* Reach out to local communities and partnering with other organizations and local government to deliver services to a broader audience and make an impact on lives of those in need.

* Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

* Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.

* Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.

* Ability to interpret, speak and write in Chaldean is preferred

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

* Minimum Degree Required:

o Masters Degree- Fully licensed or Ph.D. preferred.

* Required Disciplines:

o Health Management, Business, Public Health, Public Policy or related field.

* At least 5 years of experience working in a mental health, health management, business, public health or public policy setting. Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications:

* Licenses/Certifications Preferred:

o Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred

Working Conditions:

Hours: Normal business hours. Some additional hours may be required.

Travel Required: None

Working Environment: Climate controlled office environment.
