Are you a Certified Prosthetist and/or Orthotist with excellent clinical skills?

We are an established, expanding O&P Company serving the Metro Detroit area for over 15 years, seeking certified practitioners for all aspects of O&P patient care. Candidates must be detail oriented, and knowledgeable of insurance requirements, with strong communications and marketing skills. Our suburban patient care facility includes a fully staffed fabrication shop on-site, competitive salary, health benefits and 401(k).

Provide thorough evaluation and analysis of patients need for orthotic and prosthetic services
Educate patient and or care giver on use, car and maintenance of orthotic devices dispensed
Identify and resolve any issues/problems to insure patient satisfaction with prescribed products
Complete, maintain, and submit accurate and relevant documentation regarding the patients conditions, devices and services provided
Partner as needed with patients care giver, physician, other providers, nurse, therapist, and other members of their medical care team to ensure the best treatments and outcomes
Enter notes and other relevant information into EMR system, assist in completing charts and scanning documents into EMR system when necessary
Outreach and business development at hospitals and other locations
Handling clinical and customer service concerns from referral sources and patients
Operational support tasks, such as approving purchase requisitions, developing and running reports as needed, and coordinating organizational needs

Certified as Orthotist through ABC or BOC
At least two years experience in the provision of orthotic and/or prosthetic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner
Experience measuring, fitting, adjusting customer and prefabricated orthoses


Self-directed, with the ability to work independently, with little supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with patients, their representatives, physicians, and other members of their care teams
High level of detail orientation required to ensure proper documentation and process compliance
Flexibility to contribute in multiple areas to support the business
