Job DescriptionA patient services representative is responsible for taking calls from patients inquiring about their account balances and working with the patient to resolve unpaid balances owed to the provider. This requires familiarity with the patient statement and accessing the provider software to determine balances due, review payment history, obtain support for the balance and noting actions in the software. The patient services representative is also required to assure the insurance company specific billing requirements are met, appropriate adjustments are applied the account is updated appropriately. This is a patient facing accounts receivables role within healthcare revenue cycle process. You must have at least one year experience with healthcare related insurance billing. Customer service experience is preferred. Strong listening, verbal communication, time management and computer skills are required.Company DescriptionCustomer service and results are #1.
