**About the Role:**
As a Release Manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing releases of a framework of core apps for two independent app platforms that are each shipped to a wide range of regions, languages, and model years\\. You will need to have a deep working understanding of the feature set of each app and each individual model year so that the functionality of each build can accurately be conveyed to external certification parties and system software build teams\\. You will definitely need excellent organizational skills to keep track of all the parallel builds and configurations\\. **Key Responsibilities:**
\\- Understand all content under active development and the targeted model years, vehicle lines, regions, languages, etc
\\- Correlate release schedule for multiple model years to align each feature with the targeted builds
\\- Work with Software Build teams to understand release cadences with respect to all active branches and available code delivery windows, work with Dev Manager, PO to align the deliveries with appropriate windows
\\- Work with vehicle teams to ensure that the builds slated for critical ride event milestones use the appropriate builds from the dev team to ensure the best possible experience
\\- Work with Dev Mgr, PO, Testing Teams, Dev Ops, Business \\(Product Managers\\), Graphics team, Translations team, etc\\. to ensure new features comprehend and cover all possible hardware configurations
\\- Work with business to maintain alignment with ongoing feature set of every supported build as new features and fixes are added
\\- Maintain documentation internally to track the version of each app released to every region, model year, vehicle line, etc\\.
\\- Identify integration windows for app releases including ride events and defect fix builds
\\- Work with Dev Manager, QA Lead, DREs, to understand criticality of defects and align them with appropriate releases where necessary
\\- Ensure appropriate builds are submitted for stakeholder certification
\\- Coordinate release activities between teams at different global locations flexibility in working across time zones will be needed
\\- Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
\\- Improve the software release processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software
**Required experience and skills are:**
\\- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
\\- 3\\+ years of previous release and/or project management experience, with solid understanding of project management principles
\\- 5\\+ years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
\\- Experience in technical leadership in high\\-growth, dynamic, high\\-change, and agile environments
\\- Formal training in project management practices preferred
\\- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
\\- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross\\-functional work teams toward task completion
\\- Solid understanding of engineering systems \\(work & code management, build, validation, deployment, instrumentation\\) and ability to go deep in technical areas
\\- Demonstrated effective leadership, and analytical, strategic thinking in problem solving are critical
\\- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
\\- Knowledge of Source Control systems and usage patterns, preferably Git
\\- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working Knowledge of Access
\\- Ability to wear many hats, learn quickly, and change direction when needed
