Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, evaluate and approve returnable containers for OEM customers.
Design, develop, evaluate and approve expendable packaging for service, NPI shipments and mass production back:up.
Schedule and manage maintenance of packaging systems.
System analysis and improvement.
Development and implementation of cost reduction activities.
Create specifications using expendable packaging for special part delivery.
Study of new technology, materials and techniques for protecting the product during shipping at the lowest possible cost.
Evaluate and collaborate with fabricators to obtain high quality packaging that meets our needs, as well as the needs of our customers.
Communicate and collaborate with customers to improve packaging and packaging systems.
Required Skills/Experience

Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
4 years experience in packaging design
:Strong technical and problem solving skills.
:Ability to read technical drawings.
:Effective communication skill, both oral and written.
:Basic knowledge of MS office and AS400 systems.
:Ability knowledge of mathematics, physics and properties of materials to evaluate packaging and solve problems associated with packaging.
:Project management and leadership skills.
:Able to interface with related departments, suppliers and customers to obtain and relay informationpany Description
